The Across has an EV drive mode for driving on 100% electric power and an Auto EV/HV mode that seamlessly transitions between electric and petrol. There’s a HV mode that uses electric power and petrol power together for maximum attack, and an innovative drive profile called ‘Battery Charger’, which uses the petrol engine to charge the 18.1kWh battery so you don’t have to plug-in to a charge station.
On top of that, you get four-wheel drive and a massive specification, including a 9” touchscreen with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a 7” digital driver’s display, heated seats, 19” alloy wheels and an electric tailgate.
The Across has a premium design with full LED headlights, roof bars, privacy glass and 19” alloy wheels. Inside, there’s a refined cabin with quality materials, an electric handbrake, a 9” touchscreen and a 7” digital driver’s display.
The 18.1kWh battery is good for a range of 46 miles without assistance from the petrol engine. The combined power output is 180bhp and 270Nm of torque, with power sent to all four wheels through the E-Four electronic 4x4 system.
The 490-litre boot is plenty big enough for your shopping trips and if you need more space, the rear seats split-fold 60-40. There’s an electric tailgate to make accessing the boot easier and ISOFIX points on both rear outermost seats.
Living with it
Thanks to Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, you can run your favourite apps on the 9” touchscreen. The Across also offers semi-autonomous driving, with adaptive cruise control, lane tracing assist and blind spot monitoring.
