New Suzuki S-Cross in Swindon and Cirencester
Built for bigger things, the all-new Suzuki S-Cross electrifies your journeys with 48V mild hybrid technology. The 1.4 Boosterjet Hybrid engine has with ALLGRIP four-wheel drive as standard in Ultra grade, and you can specify a slick six-speed automatic transmission. Fresh, sporty styling, full LED headlights and 17” alloys give you premium good looks in every trim. You also get a comprehensive driver assistance suite as standard, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Prevention and Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Monitor for safe, easy driving.
Trims include Motion and Ultra. Motion kicks off the range with a 7” touchscreen with MirrorLink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, front and rear parking sensors, heated front seats and roof rails. Ultra adds an upgraded 9” touchscreen with navigation, a double sliding panoramic roof, leather upholstery and a 360 view camera. Fuel economy stands at 53.2mpg for 2WD models with the manual transmission, and the mild hybrid system kicks out a healthy 127bhp/235Nm of torque for brisk acceleration.
Design
Reimagined for a premium driving experience, the S-Cross now has sleek styling, full LED headlights, 17” alloy wheels and you can choose from six body colours. Inside, Ultra models boast leather upholstery and a panoramic roof.
Drive
The 1.4 K14D engine has Suzuki’s Boosterjet and 48V mild hybrid technologies, offering up the maximum 235Nm of torque from just 2,000rpm. This creates a nippy, brisk compact SUV that doesn’t consume tonnes of fuel.
Practicality
The S-Cross has an enormous boot - 430-litres with the rear seats raised - and you get a removable double luggage floor. The rear seats split-fold 60-40, and both rear outermost seats have ISOFIX child seat anchorage points.
Living with it
The automatic gearbox transforms the S-Cross into a sublime, lazy cruiser thanks to the adaptive cruise control and lane prevention systems. The Ultra version has ALLGRIP four-wheel drive with Auto, Sport, Snow and Lock modes.
